Coming out of our Partnerships for Development presentation, we are happy to announce that on December 16, 2022 the Embassy of the Argentine Republic kindly donated to the faculty and the UWI Mona books on the Malvinas. Specifically, we received, The International Community and the Malvinas Question; The Malvinas, the South Georgias and the South Sandwich Islands, the conflict with Britain and A 50 anos de la Resolucion 2065 (xx) de las Naciones Unidas.
Charge’ d’Affairs at the embassy, Mr. Jose Grande Perez, handed over the books to Dean Dr. Heather Ricketts, Associate Dean Dr. Lisa Vasciannie and the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) Librarian Ms. Thelma White. The books will find their home at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies Library as well as the UWI Mona Library.
Our 7 faculties and 12 professional schools offer more than 200 programmes to some 18,000 graduate, undergraduate and continuing studies students.
The UWI, Mona ranks first in Jamaica among accredited tertiary-level programmes. In 2012, the University was again one of Jamaica’s Top 100 Employers.
