The small contingent of UWI Mona athletes, headed by Sport Director,Mr. Dalton Myers, travel to the annual Pennsylvania Relays from April 28-30, 2011 in Philadelphia . The team comprise of the winning Intercol and record breaking UWI 4x100m team, and the 2nd place 4X100m team along with two reserves.

UWI'S Deuce Carter clocked a PR of 13.72 sec to place 3rd in the Finals of the College Men 110m Hurdles> The men's 4x100 (Brian Jackson, Deuce carter, Jason Young, David Dunn) made it to the finals with a time of 40.66 sec placing 6th overall.The 4x400m and the sprint medley teams ran close to their Personal records with times of 3.16.44secs and 3.38.64secs respectively, however they did not make it to the finals in their category. Those teams comprised of Andrene Nelson, Ramshia McKenzie, Roderick Tennant and Dwayne Ferguson for the 4x400 and for the sprint medley, Ramshia McKenzie, Duwayne Ferguson, Hansle Parchment and Andrene Nelson.

Overall the teams performances were commendable and the University congratulates these athletes on a job welll done.
