The University of the West Indies Mona Pelicans Football Club on Saturday,defeated Santos Football Club with a come from behind victory of 3-2 at Bell Chung Oval home of Santos. The team went into the dressing room after halftime with a 2-0 trail. The half-time talks and strategies worked as the team would see all three goals being scored in the second half of the game. UWI Scholarship athletes secured victory for the team with the first goal being scored by Striker Andrae Bernal followed by two crackers from Mid-fielder Kemar Cummings. The UWI Pelicans takes on Olympic Gardens FC on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the UWI Bowl at 3:30pm the team hopes to take victory in that game as well.
