The UWI Mona Pelicans track and field team copped four medals in the 2012 staging of the UTECH Classics held at the National Stadium on Saturday. The Pelicans contested six finals and were able to secure two top honors, one bronze and a silver at the end of the event.
World University Games Gold medalist and UWI Scholarship athlete, Hansle Parchment went on to secure the gold for the Mona Pelicans in record breaking time of 13.71secs to leave his mark on the track.
The team will leave the island in a few weeks to participate in the annual Penn Relays.
