UWI athletes to take to the tracks at Jamaica Senior Athletics Trials

Just a few days before the start of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) Senior National Trials several UWI Mona Pelicans Track and Field athletes are in high gear as preparations continue for their participation in this national event.

The event which is scheduled to take place over from June 28-July 1, 2012 at the National Stadium will attract many high profile athletes from across the island and thousands of track and field fans to witness this spectacle of event, many see this as a pre show to what can be expected at the London Olympics 2012. The University of the West Indies would not be outdone as nine of our athletes including World University Games Gold and Silver medalists Hansle Parchment and Jason Young will be seeking to get out of the starting blocks first in hopes of capturing a spot on the Jamaica National Olympic Team.
