In a top of the table clash UWI 'A' Ousted Global United 22-15 in the 2013 Jamaica National Building Society/Jamaica National Association Sunshine Open League held at the Leila Robinson Court on Friday. The Pelicans gelled together from the start of play, spurred on by a solid defense, the Pelicans managed to contain Global United to take the victory.
In a similar fashion UWI 'B' dominated Speg 'A' 19-12 and later sacked Rivoli 'A' in an 18-11 encounter. The UWI Pelican 'B' are unbeaten in the league and have climbed to the top of the table to join UWI 'A' as leaders in the race for the championship trophy.
UWI 'A' will next face Mico 'A' on Saturday and UWI will take on Payne Land on Thursday and Molynes 'B' on Saturday at the National Stadium.
