UWI participates in Queen’s Grace Jackson Meet

The 10^th staging of the Queen’s track Meet saw the UWI Mona team participating in 8 events. In the Women’s 200m, Kimberly Slater clocked 27.57secs to be placed 9^th overall and Shanna Lee Coley was placed 11^th clocking 28.71secs. In the 400m for women, Ann Marie Finegan was placed 7^th overall with a time of 58.47secs. In the men’s equivalent Ramshia Mckenzie produced the best placing, finishing 18^th overall with a time of 49.35secs. In the 800m for women or single competitor, Shantae Mclean finished 9^th overall with a time of 2:21:33secs. In the long Jump women’s open, Kimberly Slater finished 3^rd overall with a leap of 4.70m. In the men’s equivalent, Delroy Salmon finished 4^th with a leap of 6.54m. Delroy also participated in the Men’s Triple Jump, in which he was placed 6^th overall with a jump of 18.19m. In the Shot Put Open for men, our single competitor, Oshane Harris finished 6^th overall with a throw of 12.71m.
