Outreach to the Caribbean is part of the mandate of the IGDS. This includes networking with national, regional and international institutions to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women.

The IGDS Mona Unit's Outreach Programme operates at two levels:

• activities within The UWI
• activities with organizations outside The UWI
