Each year, the Secretariat works with the Deans and Academic Department Heads to produce the Annual Departmental Reports for presentation to Campus Council (held in March annually). Departmental Reports are compiled of the publications, works and developments within Departments, Centres, Units and Sections throughout the Faculties on the Mona Campus. The Reports are done on an annual basis and editing as well as the compilation of the book is done in the Secretariat with external aid from various printery and MITS uploading the finished product onto the UWI home page.
These reports have been dated as far back as to 1961, where the first volume was compiled and the online record started with the reports for the 2000/2001 academic year being published on the UWI home page. There are several stages involved in gathering the information and usually a team effort is necessary to ensure a successful final product.
