The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies (U.W.I.) recorded a total of 22 earthquakes in the local region during October 2025. Of these, only one (1) was confirmed as a felt event, which occurred on October 19th in Eastern Jamaica.
The Unit also confirmed that no felt earthquakes were recorded during the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
