New Opening and Closing Hours

Effective immediately, the Faculty Office opening hours will be as follows:  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30pm - 4:30pm; Wednesday 1pm - 4:30pm and Friday 8:30am - 12:30pm.  Regular opening and closing hours will resume May 30.

Mark Figueroa Promoted to the Rank of Professor

The University of the West Indies, Mona is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Figueroa, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Mona to the position of Professor, with effect from February 9, 2011.  Click here to read more.

Lost and Found Items

Have you lost property in the vicinity of the Faculty?  From time to time unclaimed items are brought to the Faculty Office in the hopes that they will be reunited with their owner.

 

If you have lost property within the last year, please click here to complete and submit lost and found form.  If a match is found, you will be contacted.   To make a claim, you will be required to present valid identification.

Sir Arthur Lewis Institute Conference

The 12th Conference of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) will be hosted at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Kingston from March 23 - 25, 2011.  The Confernce is entitled, "Challenges of the Indepence Experience in Small Developing Countries."  The keynote speaker will be Dr. Franklin W. Knight, Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Professor of History, Johns Hopkins University.
