Introduction to Political Institutions and Analysis

This course introduces students to the definition of politics and political science, to basic concepts in the discipline such as political culture, power, authority and to the key elements of the State in Anglo-American Democracy, the former Soviet Union, the Third World and the Caribbean.  Global and regional issues which affect politics, such as the debt problem, are also discussed.
