Welcome to the Faculty of Social Sciences, your new home here at UWI Mona! Whether you’re just beginning your academic journey or returning for another exciting year, I want to commend you for taking this important step toward building your future.

Being part of FSS means more than just attending classes; it means becoming a part of a community that fosters growth, leadership and meaningful connections. This faculty offers countless opportunities to challenge yourself, discover your passions and create a university experience that is as enriching as it is rewarding.

As your Guild Representative, my role is to advocate for you, listen to your concerns and ensure your voice is heard. I’ll be working closely with the Faculty and Student Leadership Team to create an environment where you can thrive academically, socially and personally.

I encourage you to stay focused on your goals, take full advantage of the resources, the support systems available to you and get actively involved. Your time at UWI is what you make of it, so approach it with purpose, curiosity and the drive to grow.
