Registration Errors and Overrides

  • When a course criteria is NOT satisfied, a Registration Add Errors will appear when students attempts to add the course to their record.  
  • A “Registration Add Error” may appear at the top right corner of the webpage.
  • Students can request an override for some types of errors as indicated in the table below.  In requesting the override, students must ensure that they include a reason in the box provided to help with the processing of their request.
  • Overrides are granted at the discretion of the assigned request handlers in the academic department or Faculty Office.

Linked Sections

Students are required to register for all applicable ‘schedule types’ associated with a course,

Device ErrorThis error suggests that there may be an issue with the device being used to register.  Where a device error occurs, students are required to remove the affected course registration, clear the cache on the device being used, and attempt to re-register. ACTIVE REG; CANNOT PROCESSOverride Request not Allowed

Campus Restriction

Stream/Section of the course restricted to students at a specified campus, e.g. Mona, Western Jamaica, etc.

† In exceptional cases the Faculty may facilitate registration for courses at other campuses by granting a Campus Restriction Override.  In such cases the student must email <Mona-fss_studentmatters@uwi.edu to make such a request.
