Discovering New Horizons: UWI Research Day 2025

The Faculty of Social Sciences is excited to announce its participation in UWI Research Day 2025, scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. This event will take place at the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre (SSLT) and promises an engaging showcase of research excellence. Attendees can explore dynamic displays, including poster and book exhibits, department booths, and lightning talks by graduate researchers. These presentations will highlight the innovative work being conducted within the faculty, fostering dialogue and collaboration across disciplines.

 

In addition to the faculty's showcase, next Thursday will feature other notable events. The 6th West Indies Economic Conference (WECON 2025) will be held at the UWI Regional Headquarters, offering critical insights into economic development in the region. Meanwhile, a Graduate Research Seminar on gang involvement in homicides will take place in room G204.
