About CSGM

The CSGM was formed within the Department of Physics at The University of the West Indies in 1994 under the initiative of the Honourable Professor A. Anthony Chen, O.M. The CSGM comprises faculty members, technical staff, students and consultants - all working together to increase our understanding of local, regional and global climate variations and change.

  3. Determine how anthropogenic climate has already manifested in the Caribbean and how these may continue to occur in the future
  4. To promote awareness of global warming;
  5. To explore impacts of climate on Caribbean lives and livelihoods;
  6. To develop tools to provide climate change information for capacity development; policy guidance; and planning
