Prospective Undergraduate Students

An undergraduate degree in Physics doesn't only qualify you to work in the field of Physics, you will acquire alot of skills and training that would make you an asset to any job market. The undergraduate curriculum provides a deep understanding of core concepts of Physics. As such for the first year and a half students undertake courses geared towards the understanding of the fundamental concepts coupled with carefully planned, student friendly, laboratory exercies that allow students to observe what they learnt. Afterwhich, Subsequently, students start doing courses specific to his/her major. 

The Department currently offers Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degrees with majors/minors in:

  1. Electronics 
  2. Energy and Environmental Physics 
  3. General Physics 
  4. Materials Science
  5. Medical Physics
  6. Renewable Energy Management (Minor only)

The Department also offers special BSc programs in:

  1. Biomedical Instrumentation
  2. Climate Science and Electronic Systems
  3. Electronics and Alternative Energy Systems 
  4. Electronics and Computer Science
  5. Physics with Education

Prospective Graduate Students

Thank you for considering the Department of Physics for your postgraduate studies. Here we offer MPhils and PhDs in Physics and Applied Physics. We also offer various Masters of Science programs. Come and join one of our amazing research groups, these include:

  3. Medical Physics Research group
  4. Renewable Energy Research group
