MPC Renewable Energy Forum

Jamaica’s national renewable energy integration plans seized the spotlight once more at the Spanish Court Hotel on Tuesday 1st October 2019. MPC Capital a leading investment an asset management company based in Germany through its subsidiary (MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Fund) invested significantly towards the 51 MWp Solar PV facility at Paradise Park Westmoreland. Staff and students of the Physics Department, UWI, Mona were invited to attend the renewable energy forum that brought together leaders and representatives from MPC Renewable Energies, MPC Capital Group, Jamaica National Bank, Development Bank of Jamaica and the Jamaican Government. The Honourable Fayval Williams, Minister of Science, Energy & Technology provided a key insights and commended the past and the present governmental administrations on the continued foresight and investments into Jamaica’s renewable energy integration plans.
