Physics celebrates Ms. Marva Anderson after 32 years of distinguished service

Ms. Marva Anderson retired from The University of the West Indies after 32 years of service, 23 of which were spent in the Department of Physics. Ms. Anderson was an exceptional Chief Office Attendant and Supervisor who led by example. She was always ready to assist the Department in any capacity within her competence and was consistently lauded by staff and students on how well she conducted her duties. Her excellence attracted one of the UAWU Distinguished Award in 2018 and Long Service Awards in 2010 (for 15 years) and 2016 (21 years). Ms. Anderson often feted the Department with beautiful meals for Colloquium, Summer Retreats, Christmas Dinners and other events. She is known for her love of laughter, friendliness, cordiality and approachability. Ms. Anderson's outstanding service was recognized at a Departmental function in August. She will be greatly missed by the Physics Family.
