November 23, 2020 was the virtual launch of the State of the Caribbean Climate Report. The SOCC report is a new landmark document produced by the Climate Studies Group, Mona of The University of the West Indies (UWI) in collaboration with the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH, Barbados) and the Instituto de Meteorologia (INSMET, Cuba) which provides up to date knowledge on climate variability and change related specific to the Caribbean region. It is the first of its kind for the Caribbean region and represents a resource for Caribbean decision makers striving to build resilience. Funding to produce the report came out of a 2014 agreement between the CDB and the European Union (EU) to execute projects within the African Caribbean Pacific (ACP)-EU Natural Disaster Risk Management Programme in CARIFORUM countries. The report can be accessed from http://socc.mona.uwi.edu
