What is Academic Forgiveness?

Overview

Academic Forgiveness provides an opportunity for students to recover from prior academic challenges thus improving their likelihood of successful completion of their programme.  The guiding principle is to preserve the integrity of the programme the student is expected to complete.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic forgiveness is typically granted to students in one of the following categories:

How many courses am I allowed to take each semester?

The number of credits you will be allowed to take is dependent on your enrolment status.  Please note applicable regulations below:

 

FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME REGULATIONS

           

  • All students are initially registered as full-time or part-time students but may apply to the Faculty Office via the online student portal, SAS, to change their enrolment status.

 

How do I make a Cross-Campus Application

Outlined below are the steps Mona students must follow to pursue courses at another campus, i.e., Open Campus, Cave Hill and St. Augustine:

Will I be allowed to declare a minor in my first year?

No.  Permission for a minor or second major will only be granted after you have completed year 1 of your study.
