- Credit Exemption refers to the recognition granted to a student for having successfully completed a course that is equivalent in content and level to a course offered by The University of the West Indies.
- When a exemption with credit is granted, the student is not required to repeat the course and the corresponding credits are counted toward the degree requirements.
- When a exemption without credit is granted, the student is exempted from repeating the course; however, no credits are awarded, and the student must complete another approved course of equivalent level and credit to meet the total credit requirements for the programme.
