Study at another University
- Students are allowed to participate for a maximum of two semesters. This shall not include the final semester of full time study.
- Finalizing students who are migrating or will be away from the country for a significant period of time with few courses to complete their degree are can sit equivalent courses at another university.
- Student must identify the university at which they need to study and gain approval to study prior to making arrangements to attend.
- Students must have the courses they intend to do at the overseas university assessed for equivalence by the relevant Department at Mona before proceeding to study abroad.
- The grade recorded for each outstanding course will depend on the grade awarded at the partnering university and the equivalencies established by the Mona Academic Board.
- Access the Student Administration System (SAS)
- Click on 'Enter Secure Area'
- Enter your identification number and password to login
- From the 'Main Menu' select 'Student Services'
- Click on 'Automated Student Request System'
- Select Request Type followed by 'Study for a Semester(s)'
- Select Campus and academic term
- Select course(s)
- Enter reason(s) and upload the relevant supporting documents: (i) A completed Exchange Programme/Study Abroad application form (available online at the International Students Office website or at this link: https://www.mona.uwi.edu/iso/forms-and-download-0. Students need to indicate whether the course is required/core or elective and (ii) Course Outline(s) of core course(s) to be pursued at the university must accompany the application form.
