Protective Mechanism of A20 Protein Overexpression in Acute Myocardial Infarction Rats

Issue:
DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2016.328
Pages:
690–96
Synopsis:
In this study, the acute myocardial infarction (AMI) model was established after injecting A20 plasmid into the rats, the protective effect of the myocardial cells was observed after myocardial injury, and the mechanism of its action was investigated.

Combining Diffusion Tensor Imaging and Susceptibility Weighted Imaging on the Substantia Nigra of 1-Methyl-4-Phenyl-1,2,3,6-Tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced Rhesus Monkey Model of Parkinson’s Disease

Issue:
DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2016.051
Pages:
480–6
Synopsis:
Combining the use of diffusion tensor imaging and susceptibility weighted imaging can provide a sensitive method for differentiating between MPTP-induced rhesus monkey model of Parkinson’s disease and wild-type controls.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate whether combining diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging (DTI) and susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) techniques would provide a sensitive method for differentiating between 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced rhesus monkey model of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and wild-type controls.

Analysis of the Prevalence and Risk Factors of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Using Novel Diagnostic Criteria

Issue:
DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2015.017
Pages:
41–5
Synopsis:
The prevalence rate of GDM in China under the new diagnostic criteria was determined. In this study, these new diagnostic criteria were used to survey the prevalence of GDM and analyse the risk factors to determine the appropriate intervention treatment for GDM.

The Combined Effect of Hyperuricemia and Overweight/Obesity on Risk of Hypertension in Adults

DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2015.289
Synopsis:
The study about the effect of hyperuricemia and overweight/obesity on risk of hypertension shows that the hyperuricemia and overweight/obesity are independent risk factors for hypertension, they increase risk to a much greater extent when present together.

ABSTRACT

Background: While hyperuricemia and overweight/obesity can act alone to increase the prevalence of hypertension, few studies have examined their combined effect. Materials and
