The Western Jamaica Campus Library began full operations on August 25, 2008. The library’s collections support the courses offered at U.W.I. Western Jamaica Campus including: Hospitality and Tourism Management; Accounting and Financial Management; Management Studies, History and Psychology; Public Relations; Digital Media; Management and Information Sciences; Nursing and Medical Sciences. The Library provides services to the campus community of just under one thousand (1,000) students in addition to staff members.
The Library facilities currently include eleven (11) client computers with Internet services. You can also access material electronically from the comfort of your home or from wireless Campus hotspots) using your student ID. Services include reference, lockers, laptop and book borrowing, photocopying, printing and spiral binding.
With regards to the borrowing of items, the forms can be filled and emailed to the library’s email address (library.wjc@uwimona.edu.jm) for curb-side delivery and to speed up the turnaround time for the borrowing of items. Also, the book drop can be used for the return of items borrowed except for laptops.
