
The Main Library, built in 1952, houses collections in Humanities, Education, Social Sciences, as well as General Reference. Primary Library Service Units, like Publics Services, Mona Information Literacy, West Indies and Special Collections, the Reprographic Services Unit and the Bindery & Preservation Management Unit are also housed in this building. Other Units that support the work of the Library that can also be found in the Main Library include, Technical Services that comprises Cataloguing and Acquisitions, the Systems Unit, which includes Digitization, and the Administrative Offices. There is an accessible entrance on the right of the main entrance. The building is a multistorey building. Not all levels are accessible. The ground floor has accessible men's and women's bathrooms in the Circulations Area, the Cataloguing Hall and the Courtyard. Researchers requiring special accommodations are encouraged to mona-reference.library@uwi.edu prior to their visit. Limited parking for the handicapped is available in the front parking area.
