
The Medical Branch Library was officially opened on December 7, 1973 by then Chancellor the Rt. Honourable Sir Hugh Wooding. It was built with funding from the Canadian Government through its agency CIDA and began to provide services to the then Faculty of Medicine in September 1973.
The Medical Branch Library is located on the University Hospital of the West Indies compound and houses the Mona Library's collection in the clinical medicine and nursing and allied health professions.
