CCRIF SPC-UWI UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP	fst, humed		Available to CARICOM Nationals who: are registered students in the Faculty of Science & Technology majoring in Geography or Geology OR; are registered in the Faculty of Humanities & Education majoring in Geography OR; are registered in the Faculty of Engineering majoring in Civil Engineering; will be entering Level 2 of the B.Sc. degree programme.	US$4,000	Four (4)	Two (2) years	JUNE 14, 2025.		The award will be based on: High academic performance (at least a GPA of 3.0)	Short-listed candidates will be selected by a panel comprising personnel from the UWI with recommendations made in selecting the final candidates.			Students who have withdrawn from the programme without good reason and the approval of the Academic Director, or who fail to complete the programme, will be required to repay the award. Applicants should submit a SEPARATE application form and visit https://www.ccrif.org/ccrif-uwi-scholarships to access their aaplication portal, when applying for this scholarship.
CG United Insurance Scholarship			The award is available to Jamaica Nationals who are: registered at the UWI, Mona Campus in final year of the Actuarial Sciences Degree programme.	USD 5,000	One (1) per annum	One (1) year			The award will be based on: high academic performance in the last academic year's University examinations (at least a GPA of 3.0); demonstrable leadership potential.	Awardees will be selected by a committee of evaluators of the UWI
Chinese Ambassador's Scholarship	humed, law, socsci		The award is available to Jamaican Nationals who are: registered in a full time programme on Mona Campus registerd in any year of their programme in the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Engineering or the Faculty of Science and Technology. NB: Preference will be given to students who major in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).	$200,000.00	Eight (8) per year	One year			The award will be based on: High academic performance in the previous year's University examinations (at least a GPA of 3.30); Verifiable financial need; Significant participation in co-curricular activities; Demonstrable leadership potential.	Shortlisted students will be referred to the Donor for final selection.
Dennis Cohen Scholarship	fst, humed, law, medsci, socsci		The award is available to full time registered students who are: under 30 years of age; pursuing a three (3) year degree programme.	$300,000.00	One (1) per annum	One (1) Year			The award will be based on: high academic performance based on CAPE Results or maintain at least a B average or a GPA of 3.0 or higher at The UWI; demonstrable financial need; demonstrable community involvement and leadership qualities.	Selection of the student will be made by a Committee of evaluators from the UWI and should include the Donor, in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Schedule which shall be read as one with the Agreement.	Application shall be accompanied with the following documents: UWI acceptance letter for new students; UWI transcript (in the case of 2nd or 3rd year applicants); one page essay on the applicant's educational goals; two character reference letters.
DEVELOPMENT BANK OF JAMAICA LIMITED SCHOLARSHIP	socsci		The award is available to students who are registered in Level II of the programme and are: pursuing studies in the Faculty of Social Sciences majoring in Economics	J$400,000.00 per annum	One (1)	Two (2) years		The recipient is expected to live and work in Jamaica for a minimum period of three (3) years immediately after completing their studies.	The award will be based on: high academic achievement (a GPA of at least 3.3); the applicant being active members of their community; verifiable financial need.	Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a panel comprising representatives from The UWI and donor personnel.
Digicel Scholarship (for students with special needs)	fst, humed, socsci		The award is available to Caribbean Nationals entering Level 2 or 3 of their study at the Mona Campus and registered in either: the Faculty of Science & Technology or Humanities & Education with a major in Physics, Electronics, Digital Technology, or Computer Science; OR the Faculty of Social Sciences with a major in Management Studies (Accounting, Finance, Marketing or Human Resources)	J$ 145,000.00	One (1)	One (1) year			The award will be based on: academic performance (at least a GPA of 3.3); verifiable financial need; registration with the Office of Special Student Services demonstrable involvement in co-curricular activities. DIGICEL SCHOLARSHIPS	fst, humed, socsci		The award is available to Caribbean Nationals entering Level 2 or 3 of their study at the Mona Campus and registered in either: the Faculty of Science & Technology or Humanities & Education with a major in Digital Technology, Digital Media Production, Information Technology, Software Engineering -Mobile Application Technology or Computer Science	J$145,000.00	Two (2)	One (1) year			The award will be based on: academic performance (at least a GPA of 3.3); verifiable financial need; demonstrable involvement in co-curricular activities. DORCAS VERONICA BROWN SCHOLARSHIP (THE)	agriculture, engineering, fst, humed, law, medsci, socsci		The award is available to the alumni of Glenmuir High School who are: registered Undergraduate student entering levels 1, 2, or 3 of programme; enrolled in any Faculty	J$100,000.00	One (1)	Three (3) years		The recipient of the award must show a willlingness to contribute to Glenmuir High Schools' overall development.	The award will be based on: verifiable financial need; demonstrable community involvement/service.	Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a committee comprising personnel from the University and the Donor Committee.	The applicant must present three (3) letters of reference: One should be from an academic source (i.e. teachers, principal etc...) One should be from community based organization (church, club etc...) One should be a Personal/Work reference. The applicant should also provide a personal statement- a 500 word essay titled "Why I desire the D.V. Brown Scholarship".		NB: Applicants are to attach a RESUME to their applications- the resume must include work experience, educational & co-curricular background, special skills, interests and references.
Dr Pamela DaCamara and Dr Karl Massiah Scholarship	medsci		The award is available to Caribbean Nationals who are: registered in a non-UGC fund (self financing) programme in the Faculty of Medical Sciences; pursuing the MBBS degree; entering at least year two of the degree programme.	Up to US $10,000.00 across all awards annually	Up to three (3)	One (1) year	September 5, 2024		The award will be based on: high academic achievement (at least a GPA of 3.0); demonstrable financial need; involvement in community and voluntary service.	Selection will be made by a committee comprised of a member of the Massiah family, the Director of Alumni Relations – IAD, 2 members of the UWIMAA Toronto Chapter and the Scholarship Officer in the Institutional Advancement Division (IAD).Selection will be based on the criteria above. DR. EARL O'BRIEN BURSARY	medsci		The award is available to: Students in the Faculty of Medical Sciences; Applicants entering their penultimate and final year of studies.	J$100,000.00	Three (3) per year	One (1) year			The award will be based on: Verifiable financial need; Co-curricular involvement; Academic performance based on results of the previous academic year University examinations (at least a GPA of 3.0).
