Dr Herbert Gayle was interviewed by the show’s host Jackie Jackson around the topic of cheating, “jacket” and sustainability. This initative placed our research directly in the home of mass Jamaica highlighting the applicability and relevance of our work.

A native of the unassuming community of Belvedere, St. Andrew, Tamarnie Tavares grew up in a nuclear family where she is the second of three (3) children and takes pride in being the middle child. Her journey thus far has been challenging, nevertheless, she continues to be eternally grateful for the love and support she has gotten over the years.

Guided by his grandfather’s maxim, “The word 'can’t' does not exist, remove it from your vocabulary,” David has sought to take on new frontiers with confidence and determination. When he first stepped through the gates of The UWI, Mona, David was a student of the Faculty of Law who just graduated from his alma mater, the Wolmer’s Boys’ School. Little did he know at the time, that law was not to be his final destination. Less than two weeks after starting, he decided to transfer to the Faculty of Social Sciences to pursue a BSc in Public Policy and Management.

FSS Congratulates Dr. Andrew Spencer on his Promotion to Professor of Tourism

Professor Andrew Spencer began his academic career at the Department of Management Studies, now the Mona School of Business and Management at The UWI Mona Campus in 2008, where he now serves as the School’s Deputy Executive Director.

He holds a BSc degree in Tourism Management and a MSc degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from The UWI Mona Campus and a PhD degree in Tourism Strategy from Bournemouth University, in the United Kingdom.
