Professor Aggrey Brown’scontributions and multifaceted service to media and communication in the region are extensive. He devoted considerable energy throughout his career to shifting media and communication education into the limelight as well as the advancement of the professional status of media and communication students in the region. He was the standard bearer for journalism and media communication.

As a director of the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), Professor Brown expanded the curriculum offerings and impact of the Institute through innovative curriculum design. He successfully designed, developed and delivered cutting edge courses in media and communication. Professor Brown’s work has earned him widespread recognition beyond the boundaries of the media and communication industry.
