Protective Effects of Liquiritin on the Brain of Rats with Alzheimer’s Disease

Issue:
DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2016.058
Pages:
468–72
Synopsis:
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is clinically manifested by progressive memory damage and cognitive dysfunction. In this study, a rat AD model with liquiritin (LQ) interference was established to observe the effects of LQ on the AD rats’ behavioural memory. The protective and antioxidant effects of LQ improved the rats’ learning and memory ability.

ABSTRACT

Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a sort of nerve degenerative disease with clinical manifestation of memory damage and cognitive dysfunction. Its typical pathological change is the abnormal deposition of amyloid-beta (Aβ).

Method: In this study, a rat AD model with liquiritin (LQ) interference was established to observe the effects of LQ on the AD rats’ behavioural memory and primary hippocampus cells.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to observe the clinical efficacy of low-dose rituximab patients with cryoglobulinaemia secondary to connective tissue diseases.

Methods: Rituximab (100 mg) was infused in patients once a week for four weeks, combined with prednisone (20 mg) once a day and reduced regularly. The treatment effect was observed regularly.

Clinical Comparative Analysis of Neonatal Scalp Vein and Axillary Vein Catheterization

DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2015.174
Synopsis:
AVC was safe and effective towards the neonates, so it could be used as the preferred choice for the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) neonatal intravenous remaining, thus it was worthy of the neonatal clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The aim of the current study was to study the application effects of axillary vein catheterization (AVC) in the clinical nursing.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was carried out towards the detailed information of children that were performed AVC, and the related situations of scalp vein catheterization (SVC) and AVC were compared.
