The Unit conducts customized staff and user education and training in various components of preservation management.  This includes workshops in, care and handling of materials, exhibiting library material and establishing a book repair program). We also offer consultation in, the type of binding, and conservation and treatment and establishing preservation programmes.

The staff in the department has been actively involved in the various preservation consultation and training exercises.
