UWI-MINET is a network of libraries on the Mona Campus of The University of the West Indies and other affiliated libraries with the Main Library as its focal point. It is a component/subsystem of the National Integrated Library and Information Network (JAMLIN) which is co-ordinated by the National Library of Jamaica. UWI-MINET was established by the former Campus Librarian, Mrs. Norma Amenu-Kpodo, in 2009 and its first meeting was convened on Tuesday, March 31st2009.

The UWI, Mona ranks first in Jamaica among accredited tertiary-level programmes. In 2012, the University was again one of Jamaica’s Top 100 Employers.
