This paper analyzes the practice of mobilization in the context of social
conflict via social media, using the protests in Venezuela at the beginning
of 2014 as a case study. The analysis focused on the case of Twitter using
two of the following hashtags that trended during February and March as
a reference: #PrayForVenezuela and #SOSVenezuela. The study comprised
