Botanist whose pioneering research in water recycling technology demonstrated the value of reclaimed waste water for the production of crops. Professor Sidrak’s work resulted in the establishment of a small waste water treatment plant which is credited with keeping the University’s lawns green even during a drought. The technology used in that project was later adopted for similar projects in Portmore communities.
