Student Employment

The University Library employs a large number of students each year (including summer).  Job availability varies according to the number of student assistants returning. However students are always encouraged to apply to assist with financial constraints they might be faced with.  

How to Apply

  • Complete the application form (Applications closed). Form should be completed prior to the start of each semester. (forms can also be printed and handed in at the various branches)
  • Make sure that your valid contact information is included (telephone number and email address). 

Duties

Students usually perform public services, technical services, or administrative duties. 

Working Hours

Undergraduate Students are permitted to work no more than 12 hours per week and postgraduates work 16 hours per week.
